Responsibilities:
- Coordinate front-of-house
- Work on the floor and supervise floor staff
- Manage and respond to reservation enquiries.
- Deliver superior guest services and ensure absolute customer satisfaction
- Respond efficiently to customer complaints
- Organize and supervise roster
- Provide regular training to improve staff competencies
- Estimate consumption, forecast requirements and maintain inventory
- Control costs and cut waste
- Nurture a positive working environment and lead by example as restaurant supervisor
- Additional areas of the business you would be responsible for: Cantina (shop), Casa Emilia cooking school (weekly classes and Team Building)
Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of Italian food & beverage and culinary traditions
- Sommelier skills - minimum is an understanding of how to describe our hero wines from Italy and our own vineyard here in the Hunter Valley.
- Proven working experience as front of house manager
- Demonstrated career experience in customer service management
- Computer literacy and familiarity with restaurant management software
- Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
- Acute financial management skills
